“The Lemonade Bandit” struck last night

“The Lemonade Bandit” struck last night

The Lemonade Bandit” struck last night, leaving hundreds of flyers depicting a bright yellow lemon and the mysterious words “It’s Coming” around Portland and nearby communities.

The flyers appear to have been posted sometime during the night under cover of darkness in the Old Port and downtown Portland. The Lemonade Bandit also crossed the Casco Bay Bridge and posted flyers in South Portland.

While no one is sure of the Lemonade Bandit’s true identity, a two-legged creature with a large lemon-shaped head was caught on camera late last night putting up flyers at One City Center and lower Free Street. And Lemonhead – a human-like being with an identical lemon-shaped head – happens to be the official mascot for Lemonade Day Maine, scheduled for Sunday, June 5 – less than a week away.

Coincidence? You be the judge.
