Portland Regional Chamber 2012 Annual Dinner and Community Leadership Awards | Community Spirit
The Portland Regional Chamber will celebrate its 158th Annual Dinner and Community Leadership Awards, sponsored by MEMIC, on September 27, 2012. In its 158th year, the Chamber’s Annual Dinner attracts over 600 business and government executives each year. John Coleman from The VIA Agency will be the keynote speaker. Four winners of Community Leadership Awards will also be celebrated at the dinner.
"We are thrilled to recognize the winners of these distinguished awards," remarked Godfrey Wood, CEO of the Portland Regional Chamber. "We thank the recipients for their longstanding commitment to the betterment of the Portland region."
The winner of this year’s Henri A. Benoit Award for Leadership in the Private Sector is SAPPI Fine Paper, located in Westbrook.
The Neal W. Allen Award, for Leadership in the Public Sector, will be presented to Senator Olympia Snowe.
For Economic Development, the Robert R. Masterton Award will go to Neal Pratt, Partner at Preti Flaherty LLP and Board Chair of the Cumberland County Civic Center.
The President’s Award will be presented to Bill Green of Bill Green's Maine on WCSH.
A fifth award, the Volunteer of the Year, is kept a secret until the night of the awards.
