Local Business Holds a Fundraiser For Keep ME Warm Wednesday

This Wednesday, The Gelato Fiasco will partner with The Opportunity Alliance, a Portland-based non-profit, to help people heat their homes. In response to reductions to LIHEAP funding and rising heating costs, the local business will hold an all-day fundraiser to benefit the Opportunity Alliance’s Keep ME Warm fund, which provides emergency heating assistance. If a customer brings the Scooping for Community for Heating Assistance flyer in to the store on Wednesday, 100% of the pre-tax purchase will go to the fund (http://www.gelatofiasco.com/download/gelato-fiasco-keep-me-warm.pdf). This event is the latest in a series of fundraisers held during the past few months with proceeds going to Portland-area schools and non-profits.
