RUSTY ROCKET FOUNDATION TRIBUTE TO JIM DROWN

The Rusty Rocket Foundation's 10th annual tribute to Jim Drown Concert will be held on Saturday, June 23rd. The concert will be held at The Asylum in Portland. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Tickets are $20. This year the concert also features a release party for "Volume 1 of The JD Tribute Album," which will consist of various artists performing all JD/Blend tunes. Among the musicians featured on the CD are Carol Blakeney, Joan Kennedy, Don Campbell and Xander Nelson.

The Rusty Rocket Corporation is a non-profit organization established in memory of James 'JD' Drown who passed away from cancer in 2002. Drown was a founding member of "The Blend" a nationally recognized band from Maine who charted in the late 70's - early 80's and was the front man in other bands such as "JD & the Dogfight" and "JD & the Do-Rights." Rusty Rocket is dedicated to providing to local individuals and to Maine schools who are in need of funding, instruments or any other support we are able to provide, based on the individual situations.
