Police: Fight led to Portland double stabbing

PORTLAND, Maine(NEWS CENTER) -- Portland police are investigating a stabbing that happened Tuesday morning on Marginal way in Portland.

Police say around 3:30 am officers responded to a 911 call for a fight in the area of 132 Marginal Way. According to police, as soon as officers arrived on scene, at least two or more individuals fled the scene in a vehicle.  Shortly afterwards the same vehicle was located in a snowbank at Pine and State Street in the city's West End.   Police determined the two men in the vehicle sustained stab wounds during the fight.  The two males were transported to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the primary people involved in the fight have been identified.  One juvenile male was arrested on unrelated warrants charging probation violation, assault and failure to appear in court. 

The altercation remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.
