Portland Int'l Jetport flights disrupted by Sandy
News

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- People are concerned about their flight reservations coinciding with Hurricane Sandy.

Airlines began cancelling flights at Portland International Jetport on Sunday. Some of them offering passengers waived fees for volunteering to change their flights.

Sue Lynn rescheduled her flight out of PWM. "Weather impacts travel and you just have to be relaxed about it."

David and Catherine Keith decided to ditch their flights and drive a rental car to their destination. "It's only about 9 hours, we've done that before. We've got a couple of good audio books."

Airline representatives say they are experiencing high call volumes. They recommend checking a flight's status online, but to expect cancellations of flight reservations for Monday and Tuesday.
