Holiday cheer from South Portland
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - We met up with the Betters of South Portland before the big tree in their front yard was cut down.
The tree will have a new home in Portland's Monument Square as the city's Christmas tree.
Jennifer and Alan Betters were actually approached by Portland's arborist who thought the tree would be perfect for the tradition.
The city of Portland will light the Betters' tree the day after Thanksgiving in Monument Square.
The tree will be adorned with more than 3,000 LED lights donated by Efficiency Maine.
