Stabbing leads to standoff

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man was stabbed in Portland Wednesday night. Police say it happened at a home on Magnolia street.

The man was discovered about seven o'clock covered in blood on Allen Avenue. He led police to the address where he says he was stabbed and since then police have been trying to make contact with the people who live there.

Magnolia Street and Woodlawn Avenue were cordoned off as of 11 p.m. 

The wounded man was taken to Medical Maine Center where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
