Police investigating Portland armed robbery

PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Portland Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at an apartment complex on Marginal Way Friday night.

Police say two men entered Bayside Village Apartments at 132 Marginal Way around 8 p.m. Friday and forced their way into an apartment brandishing a shotgun and a handgun. 

Authorities say the suspects then threatened people inside the apartment demanding that they turn over their money and drugs. The suspects fled with money, prescription medications, and video gaming equipment.  

No one was injured in the incident.  

Police describe the suspects as white males in their late teens, early twenties.  

One man is approximately 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and was seen wearing a blue and black ski parka carrying a yellow and blue snowboard bag.

The second man is described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt under a black hooded jacket, and carrying a black backpack.
