The 5th annual Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival takes place on the sidewalks of Maine Street and on the adjacent town Mall on August 20 from 9-5.  Thousands of visitors will take advantage of the sunshine and the wonderful atmosphere on this special day in town.  Beginning with only 39 artists, the event has expanded in scope every year and has had a greater audience, each year.

Designed to celebrate and foster an appreciation of the arts and to showcase Brunswick as a wonderful cultural destination, there are more than 90 juried artists and artisans featuring painting, sculpture, mixed media, graphics and drawing, photography and fine crafts.

With a little help from the hippies and dropouts of San Francisco, she comes to realize she has to make her own kind of music! This new musical by Roger Bean showcases the powerful music of the late 1960s by some of the most influential artists of the love generation including The Mamas and the Papas, Donovan, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane, with songs that include: “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” “Get Together,” “Piece of My Heart,” “White Rabbit,” “Spinning Wheel,” “Happy Together” and many more! Rally Calls For Solidarity With the Egypt's Pro-Democracy Movement, End to U.S. Taxpayer Support of

Portland, Feb 4 – Peace and justice advocates calling for a show of solidarity for pro-democracy protesters in Egypt will rally in Portland on Saturday, February 5 from noon to 2pm at Post Office Plaza in the Old Port.

CODEPINK Maine joins Peace Action Maine, Radio Free Maine and a Maine chapter of the international anti-violence group Women in Black to sponsor Saturday's rally.

Events over the past ten days in Egypt have rocked the thirty year hold on power of President Hosni Mubarak. An estimated two million peaceful protesters took to the streets last Friday, and at present thousands are pouring into Tahrir (Independence) Square in Cairo calling for Mubarak's resignation.

Food Drive for Gorham Food Pantry

On election Day, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 Agents from the Gorham Office of Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate – The Masiello Group will be manning stations outside of both Gorham Polling sites at the Gorham Middle School on Weeks Road and the Gorham Municipal Center on South Street to collect donations for the Gorham Food Pantry.
