LUSH washes up at The Maine Mall

LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, the upbeat British brand of ethical and innovative bath, body, skin and hair care is soon to be making its debut at The Maine Mall. Known for cruelty-free “naked” products with cheeky names, effective ingredients, and environmental conscience, the self-appointed cosmetic grocer is opening its very first shop in the Portland area in early August.

Shoppers will enjoy a cosmetic deli showcasing LUSH’s products, which are handmade using fresh fruits and vegetables, ethically-sourced essential oils, and are never tested on animals. The new shop features soaps piled high like exotic cheeses, bath bombs presented like perfectly round apples and fresh facemasks served up from ice-filled fridges. The shop includes a cozy kitchen table, where customers can sit and discuss their skin and hair care needs with one of LUSH’s expert consultants. This genuine “back to basics” approach encourages a laid-back shopping experience with friendly advice.
