Circuit - Wherein It Hasn't Had Much Effect

WHY aren't Sam and the samurai afraid of the ray gun?

HOW does Sam know how many bosses have brought ray guns to knife fights?

HAS Sam been in many knife fights?

WHAT's so bad about bringing a ray gun to said knife fight?

It's just not done, that's all. If you bring a ray gun, it's not a knife fight anymore... it's a ray gun fight. Then suddenly everyone else just brought knives to a ray gun fight, and they all find themselves at a distinct disadvantage. Because let's face it... even the biggest knife in the world isn't much good against a decent ray gun. Ray guns vaporize. The closest a knife gets to that is when it dices something, and that takes way longer.

Circuit - Wherein a Boss Displays Another Skill

Circuit - Wherein a Boss Displays Another Skill

ARE Sam and the Samurai better than the bosses?

WHAT new skill will be revealed?

WILL Sam and the Samurai be better at that one as well?

IS the new skill related to sword repair?

No, but that would be a good skill to have. Although it would be kind of annoying when all your friends start bringing their swords over for you to fix them, because you're the only one in town who knows how to repair a sword. Still... it's better than paying some other schmuck an arm and a leg to fix it. How are you even supposed to get the arm or the leg, if your sword already needs to be fixed?

Circuit - Wherein Harry Has Too Much of a Good Thing

WHAT is everyone watching?

WHY is Harry so bummed out?

WHO will he end up rooting for?

IS "radicality" even a word?

Nope. Well... it is now. If Warren Harding can coin the word "normalcy," and George W. Bush can make "misunderestimate," then I can invent words, too. So what if I'm not a president? There's still time for that. When I am, "radicality" will be America's favorite word. It should be already, but nothing's perfect, I guess.

Circuit - Wherein He's a Natural

WHAT is Sam such a natural at?

WHY is he being so humble?

WILL he yell something cowardly?

WHY would the samurai be impressed by this?

That is a very good question. Maybe he's impressed that Sam is a natural at something, even if that "something" happens to be cowardice. Or maybe he's simply had too much hooch, and everything seems great to him. I'm going to go with the first guess. I'd like to think the samurai appreciates a just well done, whatever that job might be.

Circuit - Wherein They Alter Their Angle of Attack

Circuit - Wherein They Alter Their Angle of Attack

WHO is the hooch-wielding square fellow?

WHY do the bosses need a new plan?

WILL their new plan work any better than the old one?

COULDN'T they simply tweak the old plan, rather than abandoning it altogether?

Of course they could. But the trick, as any good boss knows, is to take the old plan, tweak it slightly, and then call it a new plan. That's how progress is made. It also helps if the "new" plan is actually something that someone else thought of a while ago. Progress. Do you like progress? Of the incremental kind? Story-wise? Then...

Circuit - Wherein Sam is In Debt

WHY did the hooch jug save Sam's life?

HOW will Sam ever pay it back?

DOES the hooch jug want cash or trade in return?

WILL those lying-down guys in the background ever get up?

Maybe. I haven't really thought too much about it. It's easy enough to just let them lay there for a while. "X"s over the eyes means they can stay there indefinitely. So... it turns out hooch jugs are good for blocking samurai swords, in addition to all the other fantastic things they can do. Kinda makes you wonder... is there anything they can't do? Well, one thing they can't do is draw Circuit... I do that. But yes, I'll admit it, hooch even helps with that. Sometimes.
