PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The 14th Annual JDRF Maine Walk to Cure Diabetes was held Sunday, September 16 at Payson Park in Portland.  Jill Hurlburt's 4 year old nephew Mark was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes in May of 2012 and her best friend's 4 year old son Derek was diagnosed in November of 2011. They raised over $2600.  "This is why we walk and raise money so that we keep the hope alive that someday there might be a cure to this awful disease"
