GOOD THEATER RECEIVES DAVIS GRANT

Good Theater is pleased to announce that the company has received a $5,000 grant from the Davis Family Foundation for its opening production of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY by Tracy Letts.  Good Theater is one of the first regional theaters to receive the rights to this recent Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award winning Broadway success.

AUGUST has a cast of 13 and is an epic work about an Oklahoma clan who has gathered together when the patriarch goes missing.  As the story unfolds secrets begin to reveal themselves in what the New York Times calls, “...[a] turbo-charged tragicomedy...”

AUGUST is directed by Good Theater’s Artistic Director Brian P. Allen and stars, Lisa Stathoplos as the matriarch Violet, Kathleen Kimball as oldest daughter Barbara, Equity actors Cynthia Barnett and Michael Howard as Mattie Fae and Charlie, along with Brent Askari, Emma Banks, David Branch, Kate Davis, Paul Drinan, Janice Gardner, Chris Horton, Amy Roche, and Mark Rubin.  Steve Underwood has designed the set, Justin Cote is the costume designer/stylist and Jamie Grant is the lighting designer.

AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY opens October 14 and plays through November 7.  Performances are Thursday ($20), Friday ($22) and Saturday ($25) evenings at 7:00, and Sunday matinees ($25) at 2:00.  There is a Wednesday evening ($15) performance on October 20 and a Saturday matinee ($22) on October 30.
