Ride the IKEA bus!

Ride the IKEA bus!

I grew up in a town in Central Maine where there were exactly 2 shopping choices- JC Penny or Sears. Comfortable, practical, affordable... The kind of places you might prefer to shop if you were looking for clothes that were "roomy in the seat", had a "reinforced crotch", or at the very least fit the description of "sturdy".

Yellow Zone Parking Ban Begins at 10PM Tonight

PORTLAND, Maine – A yellow zone parking ban for the City of Portland has been declared beginning at 10:00 PM tonight, January 13th, and ending at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning, January 14th. The Yellow Zone is an area within the downtown business district that is geographically bounded by:

?  Commercial Street on the South
?  Cumberland Avenue on the North
?  Franklin Street Arterial on the East
?  State Street on the West

The parking ban is in effect within the square area of these four streets. As winter operations are currently underway, the city asks residents and visitors able to park off-street to do so during the day. Keeping the streets open allows for expedient snow removal.

Yellow Zone parking bans provide Public Works the opportunity to remove snow from the streets and sidewalks in this area improving traffic flow and commerce within the business district.
